Ben Crea – Education Video (aka Dance With Grandpa)

May 4th, 2010

Ben Crea is an electronic music producer from Australia. We have featured him on Knobtweakers before, and his tracks have never failed to ignite the dance floor. I love the lo-fi music video – a hilarious use of Chatroulette!

Kaskade – Fire In Your New Shoes.mp3 by dilvie

Kaskade helped define the San Francisco house sound with his collaborators on the Om Records roster between 2000 – 2006. His other projects include Summer of Space, Late Night Alumni, and The Sellars. Among other important achievements, the hit remix of “Sorry” by Dirty South was Grammy nominated in 2008, and the “Move for Me” collaboration with Deadmau5 reached #1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Airplay Chart.

“Fire In Your New Shoes” is the first single from Kaskade’s sixth album, Dynasty. Dragonette contributes Martina Sorbara’s vocals in the club stomper. I’m excited to hear some of the remixes that are sure to spin off this release. Kaskade fans are going to love the whole album, with stand-out cuts like “Only You with TiĆ«sto (feat. Haley)” and “Don’t Wait (feat. Haley)”.

Calvin Harris – Flashback (Danny Dance Soulful Remix)

Calvin Harris – Flashback (Danny Dance Soulful Remix) by dilvie

Danny Dance is an up and coming house DJ in Salt Lake City, Utah. He’s just getting started, but if his interpretation of this retro club banger by Calvin Harris is any indication, he’s bound to make some waves. Oh, and did I mention that he teaches house dance to school kids? What a rock star.

If you haven’t already, you really should check out the entire album by Calvin Harris. “Ready for the Weekend” mixes 80′s synth nostalgia with electro floor rockers. My favorite – “Yeah Yeah Yeah La La La” – obviously a lyrical masterpiece!

Phonat – Set Me Free (Video)

April 23rd, 2010

The first time I heard this track, I was reminded of the first time I heard Daft Punk. It is groundbreaking music. Phonat is sure to go down in history as one of the most influential knob tweakers of our day. You might as well throw out all the rest of your tracks, ’cause next to this, they’re all garbage. How do other music videos stack up? It’s difficult to make a comparison. Few other videos complement the music so perfectly. Phonat is mind-bending in the most delightful way.
